Edward Jones Dome Information:
The Edward Jones Dome is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and is also known to many as the Edward Jones Dome at America's Center. This large, indoor football stadium is one of the nicest venues in the country. Not only does it play host of many sporting events each year, but concerts, special events, and shows also visit the Edward Jones Dome on a regular basis. This helps to give the venue a reputation of a great multipurpose venue.
At this time the St. Louis Rams of the NFL are the only primary tenant of the Edward Jones Dome. But while this venue only has one main tenant, it does not have any problems staying busy when football season comes to an end each year. This is due in large part to the huge 66,000 seating capacity.
Many people are not aware of the fact that the Edward Jones Dome was the gathering place for the biggest indoor event in United States history. This venue set that record in 1999 when Pope John Paul II held mass in the dome.
Throughout the years the Edward Jones Dome has hosted many great events. In addition to the visit from the Pope, other events include WWC Slamboree in 1999, the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Final Four in 2005 just to name a few.
It took nearly $280 million to build the Edward Jones Dome, and construction completed in November 1995. The venue is owned by the St. Louis Regional Sports Authority, but benefits everybody. Each year thousands of fans stop by the Edward Jones Dome to cheer on their favorite team, or to watch one of their idols perform on stage.
