Oakland Raiders Information:
The Oakland Raiders compete in the AFC West Division of the National Football League. The Raiders were founded in 1960 along with many other teams. And just like many others they competed in the American Football League until 1969. Then in 1970 they made the jump to the NFL. Although there are a lot of people who do not like what the Raiders stand for, there are many more that are proud to cheer for them year in and year out.
The Raiders play their home games at McAfee Coliseum, and have done so since 1995. Although this is not one of the more modern venues in the NFL, Raiders fans do whatever they can to make sure that they use it to their advantage during each home game.
The team has won three Super Bowls; 1976, 1980, and 1983. In addition, they have won their conference on four occasions as well as their division 12 times. As you can see, the Raiders have been a great team for many years and they are hoping to restore this tradition in the upcoming years.
Many great players have suited up for the Raiders in the past. Some of the more popular ones include Marcus Allen, Fred Biletnikoff, George Blanda, Howie Long, and Jim Otto among many others.
The black and silver of the Oakland Raiders has been a staple in the National Football League for many years. And it is safe to say that this is not going to change anytime soon.
