Detroit Lions Information:

The Detroit Lions compete in the NFC North Division of the National Football League. The Lions were founded in 1930, and since day one they have competed in the NFL. This makes the franchise one of the oldest in the league. And with all of these years of playing have come plenty of wins, and many great players.

The Lions play their home games at Ford Field, one of the most modern venues in the league. The team has taken nicely to this field since starting play there in 2002. And of course, Lions fans also love what it has to offer.

Although the Lions have never won the Super Bowl, they did win several NFL Championships in the early years. There last division championship came in 1993, and the team is looking to get back on track at this point.

Many great players have competed for the Lions. Some of the most well known include Barry Sanders, Dutch Clark, Doak Walker, Bobby Layne, and Chuck Hughes among many others.

All in all, the Lions are the heart and soul of the city of Detroit. The fans love the team, and this is never going to change. Over the next few years the Lions will surely become a contender for a playoff spot.
